I am completely killing it by playing VERY DIRECT, VERY WIDE, VERY ATTACKING football... I will SEE crosses when I use those three instructions, and I mean REALLY GOOD crosses, not just the funny runs down the flanks that always end up in losing possession near the byline or the opponents conceding a foul 99 % of the time... It's the worst engine in the last decade, my initial patient approach is completely useless sometimes, with players just randomly kicking the ball long when there is no one making a run or missing the player completely... -
that is insane! so much for defensive awareness, defenders are doing a terrible job this year, no wonder CDs make less tackles on avg than any other player at least you weren't playing three at the back, I've noticed that when I use that shape, sometimes the defender playing in the middle completely ignores his duties and leaves the opponent's player that's leading the line in absolute open space for them to attack, it's like they are trying to push into the defensive mid slot but not quite.

It is completely unrealistic how few tackles central defenders make!!! OK, I get it when a COVER duty is supposed to make less tackles than a DEFEND duty but that is not happening, Thiago Silva on COVER duty is averaging more tackles than the other two... and when you look at the rest of the team there is an abysmal difference! Raheem Sterling playing WB is averaging 3.29 tackles per game and it's very rare that he doesn't play 90 min.... I went through an entire preseason in which I focused very much on player development and pushed them HARD to develop their physical skills. Although some players showed green arrows in their endurance mainly (which is what I had them focus on), almost all of them show a negative progress report. I don't think this is normal, with very rare exceptions showing that they maintained their skills and absolutely NO ONE showing a positive improvement.
