  1. Under "Supporter profile" for a team, when setting the number for "expectations," does 20 mean the supporters have the highest expectations or does it mean they have the lowest expectations and are thus easily satisfied?
  2. So I've set up custom leagues in England, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Germany and France. I set up a sort of Champions League and Europa to pull from these leagues. I seeded each team from the respective leagues that would feed into the Champions League and Europa league but no matter what I do, it's pulling the same teams for groups. For example, I have it pulling the top 2 teams of each lower league team. So the top two teams of the 4th league in Germany and Spain end up with the 4th seeds. I set the rules to only pull one team from each seed into each group to try and keep teams from the same leagues from being drawn together in the same group (like the Champions League). However, no matter what, the game puts both teams from the 4th league in Germany and Spain into the same group. I keep tinkering to try and find what is locking the two together to force it to do the exact opposite of my intent. It's doing the same for other groups too where it pulls the two teams qualified from the 2nd league in Germany to pair with the two teams qualified from the 2nd league in Italy. It's like taking both teams from one league and matching it with both teams from another league across the board and no matter what I change, it keeps doing it when I test it even though I have seedings set and rules for those seedings at the group stage. Any ideas? Update: I removed all mentions of seeds from all sections of the Champions League and other competition like it to see if I could just get to randomize the draw to give me something else and it's still pulling the exact same teams. It has to be somewhere outside those competitions but I have no idea what I'm missing.
  3. To add, I took the file I sent you, re-loaded it and tried to test leagues one at a time as some have suggested. Again, it would not verify any but not give errors. So I used the test competitions button and tried to test one at a time. It gave me errors I have already cleared. I cleared them and then it brought back another error I had been dealing with in the past that I had cleared, but takes a long time to clear. Essentially, it says the Americas Cup has 139 teams but needs 140. It keeps removing St Louis City out of the North American 2nd Division and back to MLS. I will move it back and save it and test again and the game will move the team back to the MLS. So I think maybe it's hard coded and I swap them with another team. I test again and it removes the swapped team as well. I have to keep trying over and over until it finally holds. But again, if I'm able to clear this error, it will go back to not giving errors but not validating.
  4. HI, I checked through the five pages of bugs and didn't find this one somehow. So I'm reporting it to make sure it's known. If I missed it somehow, I apologize. I used the editor to try and make six leagues with tiers. The leagues were set up as the following: 4 tiers of 20 with promotion and relegation of three teams with the best teams from North America (USA, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Caribbean) 3 tiers of the best teams from South America structured the same way 3 tiers of the best teams from Africa structured the same way 3 tiers of the best teams from Asia (Middle East and Pacific regions included) structured in the same way 4 tiers of the best teams from Northern Europe (England, Scotland, Germany, Poland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria, etc) 4 tiers of the best teams from Southern Europe (Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, Turkey, Switzerland, etc) I then made three cups similar to the FA Cup. All teams from the respective divisions get added and play a knockout game to advance. These were structured as follows: Americas Cup - Every team from the North and South American leagues noted in 1 and 2 above. APAC African Cup - Every team from the Asian and African leagues noted in 3 and 4 above. Europa Cup - Every team from the Northern and Southern Europe leagues noted in 5 and 6 above. I also tried to create a World Champion's League with 32 teams starting in group stages of four teams each. The teams pulled were to be the following: The top 4 teams from the North American top division. The top 4 teams from the South American top division. The top 4 teams from the African top division. The top 4 teams from the Asian top division. The top 8 teams from the Northern Europe top division. The top 8 teams from the Southern Europe top division. I made changes in the thousands to set this up. I kept trying to verify the leagues and it would give me errors for obscure leagues I do not care about and will not use. I took the time to clear all of these rules and eventually I got to a point where I would run verification, it would run through the leagues and finish but it wouldn't give me any errors or tell me it's verified. It would just literally show the test screen again. The top right would say not verified and I couldn't use the file. I tried many things to fix it and couldn't figure it out. Given that there were no errors to even hint at where to look, I got frustrated and tried starting over. I did it again copying a file I did on FM23 to make sure the leagues were set up the same way as a file that worked on FM23. But again, at the end, I clear all errors and get to a point where I get no errors but it won't verify either. For this one, I could go to set up a league and choose this database and it would show all those leagues as selectable except one. I didn't actually set one up to run it and see if I ran into any issues. The interesting thing is when you click test rules, it will only show the tiers from one country. It won't show the others. When you go to set up a new game and select the database, it will default to this country that was showing in the test rules section. However, this is the one nation I could not select. Since I couldn't figure out an error, I removed this nation to rebuild it. The test rules then switched to pull the tiers of another nation. I rebuilt the first nation that wouldn't load in the game and tried setting up a new game. Now this rebuilt nation would show up, but the one that the test rules switched to, which previously showed up in the new game, is now the one that won't show up. It's very frustrating because I've spent literal weeks editing thousands of things and I cannot get the thing to validate to actually use it. Note: Another observation is the editor would randomly make its own changes or undo changes I made over and over. Like I'd get an error that a league doesn't have enough teams. I'd go look and a team had been moved out of that league. So I move it back and test again and it gives the same error moving the same team back to the same league. It's really finicky. League & Data Updates will it work2.fmf
  5. I've been setting up a large edit where I have a North American Premier through 6th division based in the US, a South American Premier through 3rd division based out of Brazil, a Northern Europe Premier through 4th division based in England, a Southern Europe Premier through 4th division based out of Spain, an African Premier through 3rd division based out of Seychelles and an APAC Premier through 3rd division based out of China. The top 8 teams from the Northern and South Premier Leagues and top 4 from the North American, South American, APAC and African Premier leagues go into a World Champions League with group stages and knock out rounds. North and South American teams go into an FA Cup like competition, Northern and Southern Europe teams go into their own and Africa and APAC combine for their own. I'm giving this background to ask the following: I am trying to test it to see if I have ruled correct. The testing feature is giving me errors for leagues I do not give any craps about and will not even use or load in my save. When I fix the error, re-save and re-test, it is undoing the change and giving me the same error. For example, it is telling me the Malaysian league doesn't have any rules for a 13 team league. I do not care about the Malaysian league, but I add a 14th anyway. I save and re-test and it tells me the same error. I go look and it's back to 13. When I do a test and look at the "add/remove leagues" section, it is testing for Bulgaria, Gibraltar, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Latvia, Malaysia, N. Ireland, Poland, Singapore, Wales. None of these leagues I care about whatsoever and I will most likely not load data from any of them. It will not let me remove these leagues from testing. When I add the correct leagues above the test button, it ignores it and still tests the nations previously listed. What do I need to do to fix the situation as I have spent a lot of time trying to get all of these leagues organized with in depth rules and qualifying? I feel like I'm at an impasse. I'd greatly appreciate anyone's input/help as this is only my 2nd year using the editor so I'm relatively new with it.
