Have any changes been made to the match engine at all?

Cheers for the help people. Ive had 2 talks of takeovers and both have been supporters groups (both have failed) so support from there isn’t coming either way. Cup runs definitely seem the way to go but I think I’m probably looking at having at least 2 seasons before getting to the Vanarama N/S, 1 to consolidate in this league and 1 to get promotion (if I’m lucky)

Hey guys, girls and all identities in between, I have a question regarding takeovers in lower league clubs. So I recently started a save with a custom database that goes down to the 10th tier of the English leagues so that I could play as Hereford Lads Club (wanted a different save from my usual Man United starting save and decided to play as a team I played for when in the youth teams(11-12)) Anyways after 2 great seasons I’ve got back to back promotions and now currently sit in the league below the National Leagues N/S but the club is running at £200k in debt with the debt only going to get bigger. Now I’ve had a brief message about a possible takeover but nothing happened and I was just wondering (from people who have more experience of lower league management) is there a higher chance of takeovers when playing at lower leagues and getting quick promotions due to the club progressing faster than they make money to keep themselves afloat?

I know what you mean, I’ve purposely stopped making tweaks to my tactic as I’m so used to there being changes from beta to full release. Now I know there isn’t any I can fine tune my tactic to perfection (well as close to perfection that I’ll ever get)

Well after a difficult 1st half of the 1st season i eventually settled on a tactic and ended finishing 6th. Made lots of changes to the squad as going forward the squad will be built around Hojlund, Rashford, Garnacho and Fernandes. Outgoing: Maguire - £15m = Tottenham, Lindelof - £15.75m Real Madrid, Varane - £60m - Al-Hilal, Eriksen - £22m - Newcastle, Malacia - £8.5m (rising to £10.25m) - Ajax, Casemiro - £85m - Al-Ahli. Still got a few more i want to move on specifically Sancho and Wan Bissaka. Incoming: Scalvini - £75m (£90m total), Shaqueel Van Persie - £14.5m, Joáo Neves - £60m (£65m total), Antonio Silva - £80m, Jesus Vazquez - £19m, Dionande - £44m (£49m total), Fresneda - £23m, Jorrel Hato - £24m (£26.5m total). Almost all of those brought in are improvements or long term replacements for what we have or what we've sold, Vazquez being the exception as the squad got pissy after i sold Malacia about squad depth at LB and Hato wouldn't join at that time. He will probably be sold soon. Also looking to bring in a young GK as backup to Onana and will more than likely sell Altay as hes not really done that well when called upon. Squad: We've called up some of the youth players to the first team to bulk the squad out for the coming 2nd season. SKa - Onana, Bayindir, Seimen (incoming from Stuttgart) WBs - Dalot, Fresneda BPDd - Diomande, Scalvini BPDd - Martinez, Silva WBa - Shaw, Hato APs - Mount, Mainoo, Gore BWMd - Nevez (need to get a backup) Wa - Antony, Diallo, Pellistri AMa - Bruno, Hannibal, Hansen-Aaroen IFs - Rashford, Garnacho Pa - Hojlund, Van Persie

Just got to the January transfer window in my first season, going to sell Varane to Saudi for £60m and bring in Antonio Silva from Benfica to join Martinez and Scalvini at the back. Also brought in 17 year old Shaqueel Van Persie from Feyenoord for £14.5m, he’s currently 2* rated but also got a 5* potential in my save

Anyone else having an issue with players under hitting passes and taking really heavy touches to lose possession?

I managed to sell off Lindelof and Maguire on deadline day for £15m and £20m respectively and brought in Scalvini for £30m up front and add ons for a total of £75m but he’s on £89k a week so overall it’s a better long term investment

To be honest it’s kind of pointless as from the 2 different games I’ve loaded from scratch the u18s have different potentials

Cheers, I had a look this morning when I finished work (bloody night shifts on beta week!) and managed to get it and so started a new game with them. So it seems that most of our Youth players have random potential values as Shea Lacey is now a 3 1/2 star potential player where as Mainoo has gone from a 2 star potential player in my original loaded save to either 4 1/2 - 5 star potential on the save made with the name fixes

Well I managed to get a very quick look around the Man Utd squad on the beta before having to leave for work. Noticed that I had a 4 1/2 star potential Shea Lacey and isak hansen-aarøen, will be restarting the save again tomorrow hopefully if the FM24 name fix is out by then so will get to see if they’ve got fixed or random potentials
