  1. Create a new Head Coach. Stats don't matter, only thing that matters is that the new head coach is unemployed. Go to the Shortlist tab, you will get all the loaded players listed. Then, import and use the regen filter in order to export only the newly generated players. After all of that, put that new head coach on an indefinite vacation.
  2. I would say almost a majority of all goals i see in the match engine come from short throw-ins in the final third. There is something seriously wrong with how the AI behaves regarding them. Whenever a highlight starts with a team taking a short throw-in in the final third, i know 3/4 times it will result in a goal. There are a few problems i've noticed occur during short throw-ins in the final third. The defense line is very low, and extremely low blocks are absolutely terrible in the FM match engine. After the ball is put into play after a short throw, attackers drive vertically across the field and into the penalty box. They face ZERO resistance doing this. They stroll into the penalty box while the defenders are orbiting around like headless chickens. The same thing happens with world class defenders with tight marking and hard tackling instructions. It seems like the defenders are completely powerless defending against vertical drives. I feel like this has been an issue, not just in FM24, but in previous iterations as well.
  3. It's not a theory, it's fact. But, the issue is not stats, it's reputation. Real-life players have, for the most part, pretty decent to outright big reputation. Regens don't get the chances to catch up. And since AI teams valued (maybe still do) player reputation to a ridiculous level, the imbalance in team management happens.
  4. Real Madrid bought Mattia Zaccagni for 89m pounds, then proceed to transfer list him 2 months later for 30m pounds. AI team management changes seem a little wonky, but i don't have much of a sample size yet.
  5. You haven't even mentioned the biggest AI issue of them all which is squad building. The squad building of AI teams hasn't been touched on or improved in over 20+ years. It's absolutely atrocious. The top teams, over the years, have their squads reduced from 40+ players to around 20-25 players. The top teams buy the best young talents only to have them rot in the reserves, while 39 year old Lewandowski is still playing every game. The AI never rotates or manages minutes and will play the same starting 11 unless someone is injured. And old 34+ year olds play over young wonderkids because reputation is overpowered. These issues have been avoided for so long that i'm certain that SI isn't unwilling to fix it, but unable to.
