  1. To give another update on this. I just started a match and came to this... This is unwatchable.
  2. I just played my second friendly after importing a game from FM23. At 50:xx I replaced 9 of my players by substitution. However, those subs never took place. The same players stayed on the pitch while in the bootom bar the new ones were indicated just as players always appear when you have them subbed in. Yet, as they did not actually play, they never got a rating and there was no option I could use, neither any cancel option nor enything else I could do about it. After the match, I saw my player's ratings for those on the pitch and on the side I saw the ratings for those who were subbed off - yet in both lists the players were present, i.e. it appears that they were substituted and replaced by themselves, with two different ratings for each player. pkm attached.
  3. To add to this, in the following home match the kit choice of my opposition Plymouth with its extremely dark green is odd as well. From the back, both teams can hardly be distinguished, just the socks and one minimal stripe are clearly different. Plymouth should have its white or pink alternative jerseys. In FM23, Darlington's home kit also had stripes on the back, meaning that both teams would have been much more distinguishable. This increases my suspicion that for the pupose of kit choice, FM24 falsely compares the FM23 kits and not the FM24 ones.
  4. I imported and continued my FM23 Darlington save to FM24 and I came across a (rather minor, because purely graphical) issue: In FM24, my Darlington team plays with the current season's kits, i.e.a lightly altered home kit and an away kit which is now light blue instead of red. However, on the match screens, both in the results tab in the top corner and on the ratings screen, the team still shows in red, i.e. the FM23 colours which are no longer played. Now, given that I played a home team that used blue as the main clour, I wondered whether the game recognises our away colours as light blue or as red. The light blue could be distinguished well, but of course not as well as the black and white home kit would have been against an all-blue opposition. This might cause more trouble in future matches, should the kit choice be impacted by this issue. Therefore, the possible kit choice impact is the main issue to be looked at here, the red colour is only of minor importance here.
  5. Dear all, I am working on a Scandinavian super league with teams from DEN, SWE, NOR and FIN, which is based in Sweden (btw if you know anyone who has successfully done it yet, please let me know). I used the 'add nation rules' option. One of the stumbling blocks I'm still facing is that I cannot find how to edit the disciplinary rules for the leagues, resulting in bans applying for the 2nd yellow card and another 1 match ban after every further yellow card. I would like to set this to a more common value, but I cannot find the option in the editor anywhere. Can anyone point me to this option? Cheers :-)
  6. Frankly, I just don't get what the use may be. I have the squad of next year in my head and don't need this tool. I know that clubs work like this irl but imho this concept has no benefit in a management game.
  7. @knap, looking at how successful you are with so many different formations which all share most of the instructions: Would you say that as long as you have that set of instructions, sensible roles set and players suitable to play in these roles, the formation doesn't really matter in FM23 as you are bound to be successful no matter what as long as you have those instructions and a bit of common sense for the rest?
  8. Short update, indeed, after 3 minutes of searching for the option, I also managed to rectify this via the preferences setting mentioned above. Still, that's not a solution which would intuitively be found by users and should not be required in the first place.
  9. Fair enough So there is no tactical theory behind it, like avoiding the danger of a DC losing the ball or getting the ball forward more quickly before the opposition had time to regroup? Asking because my gut feeling would, for control based tactics at least, rather tend to delivering to the DCs which is what I do the most (and never spent much time thinking about).
  10. Having the same issue with German/English. Game was set to German by default (based here), but I changed the language to English (UK). Now the game is mainly in English, but a few things keep being in German: - job titles - nationalities, languages - player descriptions - Injuriy descriptions - position descriptions See below. Will now try to see if I can solve it via the advice above
  11. Hi Knap, I see you are using GK throwing to full backs for delivery very often and hardly ever the short deliversy to the DCs. What's the rationale behind that approach for you?
