  1. I think this is all you need changing. People have to remember that WTBITB is not so much about stopping the wasteful long shots as much as it is about patient build up.
  2. My midfield is as effective as ever. Maybe slightly less of through balls but I don't have large enough sample to claim that, since I mostly played less creative midfielders. They press, track back and win balls regularly.
  3. Call me a fanatic, but I watch all the matches on comprehensive highlights simce FM19. Even friendlies. And there is always something to spot about your players and tactics. And no, it doesn't drastically increase the time you need for a season. Scouting carefully and processing lots of playable leagues takes much more time.
  4. There is a lot of talk about training schedules but I'm not a kind of person that is eager to download someone else's work and blindly plug it in. I didn't like the training change when it came (it was needed but the solution they came up with I dislike) and I always leave it to the assistant manager. My player growth is fair, especially if they play. But am I making a huge mistake for longer term progress? Recently I came across 2 YouTube videos about training schedules. One claimed that his custom training schedule outperformed assman 4 times in CA growth over a season. But it was done without controlled conditions with 2 completely different teams in every way and most importantly in terms of PA and room for growth and it was just donr over one season. Second video was a huge experiment done by statistics nerd in controlled conditions that gave a ton of data and basically he brought the schedule down to 3 sessions: attacking, resistance and match practice ONLY. He compared it than to 4 most popular training schedules online and outperfmed or matched them in pretty much everything. This leaves me confused. What do you think I should do with team training?
  5. I see everyone is speculating about the patch release date. But I consider this a much more important question: what is the list of issues the patch will fix?
  6. Yeah it's not showing right now, maybe next season. Thanks!
  7. I don't see the option to increase the level of youth facilities in the board request dropdown. The level is excellent, but I read that there is also superb and state of the art. Maybe because I recently increased main training facilities? Can someone please screenshot where to click to increase level of youth facilities?
  8. I think it's obvious: it's training facilities and the stadium. But I'm managing Braga in Portugal and in my second season I finished 2nd. I qualified for table stage of Champions League and got 4/6 wins so far, and my moneybags are full. During this campaign I sold 4 best players for combined 116.5 mil and I replaced them with excellent cheap players, all but one well under 10 million. Due to some ridiculous clauses and raising my salary spending by about 750-100K p/w I don't have a 100 but a comfortable 35 million in the bank, after upgrading my training facilities to state of the art. I don't need more than 15 mil worth of new players if even anyone. I'm keen to invest in the club. I'm now wondering what to invest in. Stadium is never full, league mostly half attendance, big European games around 1-2K under capacity, so stadium is unnecessary to upgrade. Choice is not only facilities, but also budgets for staff and alike. Why I don't blindly invest in youth academy is because I'm not sure I will stay in Braga for too long too reap the benefits. Maybe I will if I never topple Porto. Who knows.
  9. Thanks, someone on one community discord also suggested removing the overlaps, but I wasn't even talking about my IFs he just saw my tactics and suggested it without explanation. It now makes sense for me, I will look for a change of play once I remove the instructions.
  10. I know it's not just me because I've seen similar complaints about this but there is something passive in IF off the ball play. I play 4-3-3 DM with 2 IFs on attack duty and overlap with relatively cautious FBs on support. Even thought I am mostly satisfied with IFs behaviour with the ball once they lay it off to full back, mezzala or supporting CM they tuck in in opposition deffensive line on the edge of opposition box (making them bad passing" option never making a movement to come back and offer them selves for the pass or any other movement that would continue to involve them in the chance creation. I also see passive behaviour from the IF on the other side and I almost never see a goal assisted by one IF and scored by the other. My IFs have very good off the ball compared to the league average so I don't like it and consider it a match engine flaw. (Note: I watch all matches on comprehensive highlights). I tried telling them to stay wider and it helped a bit against some opponents but then didn't against others. Would it help if I set them as support or give up on the role and make them IWs? I did make them support in some matches when ahead to make them more defensive minded but didn't notice improved off the ball movement (although there is limited sample size of these occasions). What do you think? I could screenshot my tactic once I'm back home at my desktop, but please give me some preliminary opinions.
  11. Thanks for solving what was the riddle for me. There is no way of checking what clauses were on the contract after the window is closed and transactions are done. At least I couldn't find one. Too bad I hoped this transfer would substantially improve my club's financial position. Funny that those clauses were in since he came on a free transfer about 5 years ago.
  12. I have no idea where this transfer expenditure comes from. I was not aware of any clauses, and I can not find any in the transfers window. I mean I spend 8 million on transfers and there is 35 million transfer expenditure, Do you really think a clause would cost me 27 mil?
  13. In January transfer window with Braga I sold players for 49M and bought for 8M yet income and expenditure from transfers are both around 35M in January. Can someone explain this?
  14. I use desktop i5-6500, 8GB of 2400Mhz DDR3 RAM and HDD 7200RPM (pretty defragmented) where the game files are installed. 90K players with default detail. I have to say processing is much slower than FM21 that I played just a week ago.
