The best tactic I have used this year has the been the 4231 with the 3 AM's on Attack. The only issue I have had with it has been the striker's goal return. Only two seasons from 10 or 12 has the striker returned 30+ goals. I get plenty of goals from elsewhere and with Union Berlin I won the League and Champions League double so I am definitely nit-picking but just wondered if I am using the wrong types of players. I have had high quality like Youssoufa Moukoko but he still struggled to get much in the 20's and the match ratings are often the worst in the team. I might need to accept that it just works in a different way but I wanted to see if anyone has had similar or has any advice? Also want to avoid paying stupid money on strikers if it is not needed!

I have had a lot of success in retraining quality CM's and AM's to the VOL role. It takes a few months but they have always come good. I play in the Bundesliga so it has worked with the likes of Ouedraogo, Gaetano and Samardžić in different saves. Not sure about the DM on Defend but maybe a good quality CB woukld work?

How did it do in defence? Fancy trying this in my save in the German 3rd Division but "Very Attacking" scares me a bit...

I know there has always been the thing of being "FM'd" but there seems to be legs in the idea of it now actually being a bug of some kind. I confessed it didn't seem any different to previous years but I am starting to see it now. Interested to see if anything happens with it?

That's fine, I am in no rush to change from PSG112 as it is doing wonders for me! I was just asking in case any of these new ones were performing better. I am going to have a look at WOF4231IWP339 though, thanks @Fribbe

Sorry, I have been off here for a couple of weeks, are any of these 4231 tactics playing out better than the Paris 112 424 ? @knap

I have finally succumbed and started a Mannheim save using the P112 PSG 424. Held off until now as I didn't like the look of the 424 but thought I would give it a go. Safe to say it is fantastic. Predicted 13th place finish but 20 games in to the first 3. Liga season and I am top by a clear 10 pts. Twice as many goals as the second place team and they are shared across a number of players, average of more than 3 per match. Still performing well with plenty of rotation. Second best defence in the league. I can only imagine what this will be like with a top team (few seasons away yet). Bravo @knap

@knap Do you have an old school 4-1-4-1? I can only find the HGF which I have tried to butcher giving it an Anchor, MRL wingers, BBM and a CM-A but I have failed miserably

I am looking for recommendations from anyone for a fun new tactic (Knap, obviously) to use as I not been able to find anything that gives as good results as the ME23.1HGFKnapBALSP4231IFVOLArsenalP95ECFA. Pretty poor lower team. Dont really like the 424's. Enjoyed the striker-less for a bit but the single pivots are just too unstable for longer term

@knap I am really enjoying the 41230 due how fun it is, most league goals in all 4 seasons in Germany in all 3 leagues. However, I have been finding it really patchy with hammering teams one week and getting embarrassed the next. Any advice on tightening it up at the back? Or is there maybe a 42220 out or in the works???
