  1. I enjoy ********* players and culture but there has to be some level of self-awareness and I think you look a bit of a tit trying to mock the guy that almost dragged his side to a second world cup win with a hat trick in a World Cup final. He possibly just produced the greatest save of all time but all he’s making anyone talk about is his cringe antics
  2. Same Mbappe that scored 4 times against him. Clearly a very good goalkeeper but his arrogance is mindblowing at this point.
  3. No doubt it's part of the lenient approach taken but I found it particularly amusing in the Brazil game when Oliver was going to book his blatantly cynical foul to stop a counter at the end but then saw it was him, who would then be suspended and bottled it Same sort of thing when he kicked the ball away vs. Morocco but players like Messi, Modric etc. get that sort of treatment annoyingly. Mentioned above but Kovacic was superb to watch defensively + driving through midfield at times. There was one too many times I'd get annoyed when he'd be too intricate with the final ball or refusing to shoot but he is another great midfielder to watch on his day.
  4. The Modric love in gets a bit tedious, we already know he is great without rewarding him for a less than exceptional tournament, he shouldn't be in a team of the tournament, let alone have won the Bronze Ball. Even the referees were pandering to him all tournament, at least 3 times he got away without a booking because the referee saw it was him that committed the offence.
  5. Maignan is a bit of a penalty specialist isn't he? Would have been great if France had him available to bring on, Lloris has zero presence.
  6. Golden glove award is biased towards winners, the only non-winners in the last 20 years have been Courtois and Kahn. The bookmakers actually had Bono as favourite before the last two games and he might have been a rightful winner had he had a better 3rd place game. I think him and Livakovic had great tournaments but Bono's achievements stood out more. Hard to take it away from Martinez after his final display though, it is certainly the most clutch save I have ever seen and then to win the World Cup for his side in a penalty shootout shortly after, he had every right to win. Bloke is a bit of a bellend though fwiw.
  7. Genuinely hated how one sided that game was for 70-80 mins and then come the end, I can call it one of the greatest games I’ve ever watched just a shame it was in Qatar.
  8. French have already given up by looks of it. No energy whatsoever.
  9. 3 tournaments in a row they're going to look back on and think 'what if?' and it'll probably be the same next Euros.
  10. This is such an embarrassing final, France haven't had a shot in 52 minutes. Should have been England because this is crap.
  11. That referee was a disgrace but they can't feel aggrieved after the penalty decision. Goes to show how much it meant to the Moroccans at least.
  12. But I think if you ask a lot of Croatians and Moroccans today that they’d tell you it isn’t pointless. And it’s fun, so I don’t get why people have an issue with it.
  13. It should be very enjoyable, it looks like there’s about 3.5 defensive minded players in that Croatia lineup
  14. As much as people love to go on about what a waste of time this is every year, this seems like a brilliant opportunity for Morocco to cement themselves as the best African side in WC history.
