@crusadertsar I remember you doing the 4-3-1-2 of Porto, I would be interested in how would you go about setting up now we have all the positional play elements in FM24? love all your posts and work mate. Keep it up, always an enjoyable read.

The AMC in a narrow diamond formation is just drifting to the left wing regardless of the role selected. I have tried shadow striker, treq, advanced playmaker, attacking midfielder and even an enganche and it always ends up like the screenshot attached. In FM23 I had shadow strikers stay fairly central to be goal threats etc but in FM24 it seems impossible to get my AMC to do what I asked. It works slightly better when there are 2 AMC together. For example AMLC and AMRC in like a 4-3-2-1 then they behave a bit more as expected.
