  1. Yep they were aware of the issue but just didn't bother fixing it unfortunately. Not only did they not bother fixing it they had the cheek to roll out the same broken product again this year and charge you again for it. It'd be nice to have an update as to why it hasn't been fixed wouldn't it?
  2. This bug has carried over from FM23.... The bug was reported numerous times by numerous people.
  3. That's interesting. In the games where you would imagine Emery would switch to his defensive formation, he instead switches to his 2nd.. It's almost like something is stopping him using his defensive formation so it reverts to the second formation. In any event, the second formation certainly isnt working as intended and hasn't for years so you're right to report this as a bug. I don't expect much action from SI on this issue however
  4. Is Emery's defensive formation not 4231? Id imagine it is and all he is doing there is using his defensive formation in them games.
  5. That should be exactly how it works yes. It doesn't though unfortunately. The AI only has the ability to recognise that it needs to change formation to its attacking formation or defensive one.
  6. This isn't an issue with Pep specifically. The issue is AI mangers, no matter who it is, do not use their second formation whatsoever. The only formations they use are their 1st preferred, defensive and attacking. The second formation is redundant and should be taken out if SI are unable to have AI managers clever enough to identify when they should switch to thier second formation. This was raised last year when they advertised AI as being better tactically and it was acknowledged on here by one of the SI guys that they do not use their second formation ever.
  7. This issue was brought to SI's attention during the BETA phase - there are numerous separate posts about it. We still await a response as to why this hasn't been fixed 4 months later. We've paid £6.99 (in addition to paying for the game) and one of its basic features doesn't even work. You'll note that no AI staff will have any bonuses in their contracts because of this issue and nor are we able to do anything about it through the in game editor. Clearly not an issue high up on Si's priorities...
  8. Still no fix for this in the new update? Any comment from Si as to why this is? Is it a difficult fix?
  9. Sadly the data produced in the analyst reports is incorrect anyway and has no correlation to what happens in the match engine. The data used in these reports is used from the same source of information as the below screenshot which is incorrect 100% of the time. By hovering over the formation in fixtures the data suggests that the AI switch to their second formation in every single match which is clearly wrong as the AI very rarely (if ever) switch to their second formation. This data is then used in the analyst reports. So if you think the lack of AI variety is bad in the screenshot you have provided then sadly the reality is the variety is even less when you consider that the data in them reports is on the basis that the AI switch to 2nd formation in every single match. I have reported this to SI (see below thread) and i'm sure they will tell us it is "Under Review". I'm also sure we'll be talking about the same issue in FM24 because this data issue has been prevalent for years now .
  10. I have reported this issue in the last couple of days. Didn't realise it has been a known issue since the game was released! No update whatsoever on this since. Although this isn't surprising when you look through this forum and the amount of known bugs with absolutely no update provided since reporting. Really poor how you can sell an in game editor where the fundamentals don't work and seemingly no attempt to even try to fix it. How's the 'investigations' into this going Zachery? any update?
  11. Unable to edit contracts for any staff. When I try and click on any of the boxes such yearly wage rise, promotion wage rise etc.. none of the boxes can be ticked and therefore cannot be amended. The next tab refers to 'other player clauses' which doesn't even look like it should be relevant for staff contracts as clearly this is for players but again nothing can be edited on that either. Same again for the staff clauses tab. No staff atall are showing as having any bonuses or clauses whatsoever which clearly cannot be right. Something majorly wrong here.
  12. That will be because either the AI's attacking or defensive formation was a 4-3-3 also - so they have just changed mentality. The switch to a defensive or attacking formation does seem to be working as intended. It is the AI's inability to switch to their second formation which is the clear issue.
  13. Do you believe this is working as intended? Have you tested this to see if AI managers shift to their 2nd formation in this scenario? My tests would suggest that they do not. The in-game information suggests that the AI managers are using their second formation every single game which is being reflected in analyst reports and is giving users totally incorrect information. Are you aware of this issue?
  14. Hi Jack Maybe you could check the same 3 random managers and see how often they use/switch to their second formation during a match? The answer will be zero as the second formation for AI managers is pretty much redundant. It was advertised that AI manager were more likely to react better to shifting scenario's which would surely mean AI managers were clever enough to revert to their second formation if needed. This simply isn't true is it?
  15. Hi Zachary Thanks for your response. This isn’t an issue specific to any saved game. This is a fundamental issue which happens in every single match where an AI manager is involved to every single user playing the game. If you review the graphic in my initial screenshot in any test save then you will see that the information provided in this graphic is incorrect 100% of the time. This information is then used in other aspects of the game such as analyst reports as demonstrated above by andu1. The information provided in these reports is totally inaccurate and makes the report useless. The graphic in my first post suggests that the AI switches to their second tactic in every single game when actually the AI very rarely ever switches to their second tactic in the match engine. This bug has been in the game for years (I first noticed it in FM21) but it is incredibly disappointing that FM23 is being marketed advising customers that there has been an overhaul of the AI logic when this kind of bug still exists. Please let me know if you still require me to send you my specific save however, this bug is prevalent 100% of the time in any save. Thanks for looking into this and I await your response.
