Let's just call it how it is, THIS GAME WAS NEVER TESTED before the BETA, if it was then its obvious the testing team needs a complete revamp. The defenders dont wanna defend. Attackers dont wanna chase balls. Players standing still on the pitch with the ball (doing an anthony). Keepers are still horrible. If you get 10-15 shots per game only 3-4 will be on target most of the time, BUT the 1 thing thats still a thing, you're opponent will still score 90% of the time on their first shot on target. Every year there was an ME update when the beta was done and full release came out, so what is so different this year??? Only thing i can think of, the game was never ready for release to begin with but SI had to put something out. I might be wrong but everything i see this year points in the same direction. Why is everyone still playing it?? There is no real competition and thats for most of us the only reason. In the 90s you had a bunch of different football manager games, they have almost all gone and FM is the only 1 left standing, but by putting a game out like this i think more and more people will STOP. SI can take this down, if they think its to harsh, but its the rock hard truth.

isnt that what changed this year, where they do kinda know what will work against other teams over time?

i would say PSVs AI manager should still be better then Fortuna's AI manager. I've never really seen PSV struggle like i have this first season.

I like this take !!! Here is why finished first season with AJAX, 19 pts clear from feyenoord in 2nd 30+ pts clear of 3th which was i think Fortuna Sittard or Cambuur. PSV finishing 5th after sitting around 10th place all season, but 44 pts behind me. Sorry but that would never happen in real life. Thats almost half the points available in the league. Did SI go overboard on this setting, would be good to know. @phantombanditdidnt really see anything other then the new feature video so hearing your take and with what i saw, i think you might be on to something NICE WORK !!!

Phantom, it's a different game, so it might be that there is different things that are working now, that influence the outcome in games. Mentality might be more important, maybe the new out of possesion options might make a difference. Thats why during beta most people take a bigger team so they can figure out what works, what doesnt work and then get to the drawing table to get ready for nov. 8th. Took west ham to 4th in EPL, Ajax won the Eredivisie by 19 pts 3rd place 30+ pts behind. Started a VNS unemployed save, noticed its harder to get hired this year when you're unemployed, will see how i get on took over Chippenham in November and its tougher thats for sure, but i dont mind the game getting a bit tougher. It's harder in Real Life too. Let's be honest never seen a VNN/VNS team get back to back promotions to League 1. Will say this VNN/VNS is tougher to get out of then National and league 2.

Hunt3r i checked it with someone else in Discord, i have 250GB left and we both have it set to default. Will try and set it to 300MB to see if it makes a difference though. But its weird that he has 60GB left and sees a year and me with 200+ left only see 2/3s of a year with having the same settings (hes playing Bundesliga, me Eredivisie).

So im looking back at certain games and i found out i cant look back past a certain point to the Full Match Details. We discussed this in discord and it seems my cut off is before 251 days since the last game, the other person has roughly a full year that he can look back. Is this a setting that i can change? Is it determined by amount of games? i just would like to be able to go back and look at games in a season, which atm i cant. I also dont know if this is a bug, if it is feel free to move it to the bugs forum. For instance : First season with Ajax i played Utrecht in August 2022 and in May 2023. I wasnt able to look back at how i played, how Utrecht played and which players were KEY players at that time. That why being able to look back a full year would be nice. Thanks in advance, LordAEM

Had this at Ajax, seems you have to do an extra step in FM23 under staff, you have to delegate the squad selection for the B-team and U18. Dont know if this is the issue at Pisa but that was what it was at ajax.
