SMETANA ROSTERS version 5.0 for NHL:EHM 2007

This project has been in progress for weeks, and will be released in time for the season opener (September 29). This rosterpack will be released as a save file, so here's hoping you have broadband.

FEATURES:
--Start your game at the proper time: September 2007 with September 2007 rosters.
--100% accurate rosters. All signings, all contract info, all prospects, all transactions current.
--2007 draft completed and completely accurate. No extra players have been drafted by any teams, nor have any birthdated been altered. All draft info and prospect rights are included.
--Accurate player attributes. EVERY PRO PLAYER HAS BEEN RE-RATED. NO CHANGELIST WILL BE INCLUDED OR AVAILABLE. I'VE EDITED JUST ABOUT EVERYBODY.
--Hundreds of prospects and draft picks re-rated and updated.
--Updated salary cap and floor for realism.
--Updated team colors to reflect changes for the upcoming season.

This set is based on the original Unfaking for EHM 2007, by Kidhander and his team, and thanks and credit go to them all for their hard work.

Keep in mind, that, with any mod intended to simulate an "EHM 2008" for EHM 2007, there will be some inconsistencies. Results and stats for the 2006-07 season will not be true-to-life, obviously. But they will be, in most cases, believable and accurate, due to the extensive re-evaluation and rating of players, and won't have a negative impact on your game.

In addition, teams may have a few fringe players in their system that shouldn't be there. This is unavoidable, but, again, should not have an unfavorable effect overall.

Stay tuned for download link.

I'm very interested to check this out. Could be very cool.

A question, what settings did you use for the season? Like what's on enhanced, db size etc?

Also I've never jumped into a saved game before how do you take control of a team?

What leagues have you updated?
Just NHL or all (playable) leagues?

I've tried to update leagues other than the NHL as best I can, but I don't follow them and don't know them very well.

This is mostly an NHL thing. It's taking enough of my time just for that.

don't worry Jan i bet everyone will appreciate your hard work and dedication... my question about it is will it be a save file or will it be a database directory... The reason why i ask that is because when u first start a game it starts at sept 06

Save file. It'll be a hefty download, but it's the only way to achieve what I'm doing.

Jan, could you include the Springfield Falcons (AHL) to Oilers affiliation in your update please? They finally have a minor League affiliate! Tampa Bay (NHL) switched to Norfolk (from Springfield) for their AHL affiliate. Chicago switched to Rockford Icehogs (from Norfolk) for their AHL affiliate.

Thanks!

This is based on Kidhandler's unfaking so I would assume it would be in there, it's all in the original post, you just have to read it.

I am interested in seeing what re-rating you have done to the EIHL players.

That's correct, based on the Original Unfaking.

And, Calv_Leeds, I'm really not qualified to edit ratings for EIHL players, unless they were formerly in North America. So, as I said, there won't be much of that from me.

Smetana, do you think you can also release the database for this roster as well? I was thinking of doing a fantasy draft with the roster, I know some updates wont be there but i am very interested in the attribute re-calibrating and using it in a fantasy draft environment.

Right now you won't find it anyplace, unless you've got the keys to my house and the password to my pc.

It's coming along nicely. Tests are looking good. It's very nice having all draftees in place. Sept. 29 is my goal. Or, at the absolute latest, in time for the other NHL openers.

Will the teams have their correct arena/stadium names?

This sounds great! I guess I'll have to get a 2nd franchise going to accompany the one I've currently got into the 2028-2029 season :P

I'm really looking forward to kicking off the season with the updates - definitely looking forward to this one. Thanks!

Just a quick update on this project. It's getting there, but still plenty of small details to go.

Spent the last couple of days fine tuning salaries and contract lengths, so the cap hits will be accurate.

2007 draftees are on their proper teams, and are properly rated (CA and PA).

Affiliations might be a problem for some teams. Many aren't so tough, but a situation like Flint moving to the A might present a challenge. We'll see.

RL slowed things a bit this past week. Still rolling along, but it's looking like my fallback deadline is looking more realistic (Oct 3). Who knows, maybe I'll be blessed with some quality free time this week.

How do you do it anyway?

I mean, are you using the saved-game editor from Eastside UK? With my version, it is impossible to modify the rosters in a saved game.

Or are you tweaking the rosters directly in the game, by controlling the 30 NHL teams at the same time? This wouldn't be ideal I think....
