Delaying for a week?

Basically i was selling a player to fund another player. The player i was buying came in first and i had to delay, on the same day my player went and i had the money, now i know waiting a week isnt too bad, however, i would have like him for the game i had 2 days later. Is there a way to delay for a week, but then after 3 days proceed with transfer?

(the reason i went for the player before i had the cash is alot of teams already had bids accepted so i wanted to get my contract offer in)

Nope, delaying for a week means waiting the whole week unfortunately.
