MAJ
I am playing with Arsenal, we are League Champions and I am finding it impossible to arrange pre season friendlies. I have tried to arrange tournaments and matches, home and away, with both top European sides and lower league English teams, with absolutely no luck at all. I have been forced to play against Japanese or African teams. Surely it is unrealistic that anyone, except the very best sides, would turn down a friendly against Arsenal. ndebergerac
Are you offering money for them to play? Are you offering to play at a time that they are available to play? Arranging friendlies is easy, you must be doing something wrong
MAJ
No, don't think so. Always leave a few days between their other games, always offer hundreds of thousands of pounds for home friendlies. Cheers
ndebergerac
Perhaps there's a potential clash with European dates, with the draw yet to be made, so the fixtures don't show up yet? Can't think of anything else:confused: Has this been an ongoing issue, or just with Arsenal for 1 season?
Mushi
Just arrange your assman to do this job.
boywonder9
That's odd. I'm usually toiling away in Lower Leagues, and with a little effort can usually find a high profile team, both in England and Germany, to play and boost finances. Of course, I tend to play them a whole lot, since if they accept one friendly they'll accept 12, which is very unrealistic but too good for my coffers to pass on. Propose the friendlies in early June, before teams set up them up for themselves.
