Grimoz
Most likely have to update your directx and your video card drivers.
trekman
I have vista and have never had any problems. Do you have the boxed version of the game or did you download through steam? First thing to do would be look at the known issues thread and see if there is something in there that applies to your situation. You should do as suggested and update your direct x and graphics card drivers. You might also need to install the directx sdk package from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=5493F76A-6D37-478D-BA17-28B1CCA4865A&displaylang=en You should also make sure your java is up to date. You can get the latest version from http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp Finally you should also probably check your hard drive for errors. A virus and spyware scan might also be a good idea.
