DarkVenom
just wondering if anyone had managed this as i have just won promotion into the northern irish prem with donegal celtic after going on a unbeaten run from takeing over half way through there season. but it seems somewhat impossible to take them all the way in europe as they are only semi pro and cant get anywhere near the needed players to even challenge for europe. Started the game as unemplyed and they where only team that would have me lol well apart from norway. Managing: Norway and Donegal Celtic
outlaw640
My dad took bangor to the 1st knockout round of the CL in fm08

steve.rush
NepentheZ had a lot of success in Northern Ireland but not sure if he went all the way in Europe. Anyway, here is last years Gundo Challenge thread http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php?t=8539
NepentheZ
I know this thread is very, very old. And you simply wouldn't believe how I stumbled upon it, but I've actually won the Champions League 3 times with Knockbreda or N. Ireland. I get to the Group stages every year, I'm now 1 of 7 Pro clubs in N. Ireland and get to the knock out stages most years
Hershie
How did you stumble upon it?
NepentheZ
I was googling something for Dungiven. Trying to find if they had a shirt for sale (as there are no Knockbreda shirts). I came across another forum that had a post of mine from my knockbreda thread (You know the forums, that literally steal the posts from here, to make themselves look busy) - and they had a wierd "if you like this, you may also like..." box at the bottom of the thread, with 5 threads in it. This was one of them. I clicked on it, and thought maybe its on SI forums. It was, and so I posted
Hershie
Impressive. Shame on you for missing it the first time round though..
NepentheZ
I don't visit GD all too often. Because I'm still playing FM08, the threads are more often than not, completely irrelevant to me
Hershie
I think you'll find the majority of the threads seem to be completely irrelevant regardless.
NepentheZ
Then maybe I shall stick around.
Hershie
Just in the hope that someone at some point makes a post about Northern Ireland?
NepentheZ
Meh. Looking through the threads, there is enough non-specific FM10 threads for me to keep involved. And then when anyone comes with "My Striker just scored 100 goals in a season..!!!" thread, I can calmly tell them where to go
Hershie
The Amateur leagues in NI aren't in the game are they? I shall have to see if anyone has made an edit, as I may give Holywood FC a go.
NepentheZ
I would love for someone to put the entire Ama leagues in. I would take over someone really, really bad FWIW : Holywood have featured in the NI2 for 9 seasons in my game. (2011/12 - 2019/20).
Hershie
Unless I've gone blind/stupid, NI is just about the only nation NOT on this list. http://www.fmsite.net/foro/index.php?showtopic=43462# A good friend of mine is from Holywood \o/ If there is no update available, I may have to make it. NepentheZ
Yeah, its not there I would love you for life, if you made that update. Literally. I would rank you as one of the highest users on this forum.
Hershie
I know nothing about Northern Irish football, especially not the amateur leagues setup. I'd be more than willing to attempt it though, if you (or anyone else) are able to help! Is it a totally separate league to the pro/semi pro leagues - like in Scotland? NepentheZ
I will help you, for sure. PM me your MSN. (Wont be on tonight, but I'll get you tomorrow.)
Hershie
It's on the little MSN logo at the side << I'm looking to have the next version of my Cyprus update out tomorrow or Friday, and I've got a few other things on, but I'll certainly try and give this a go! wardog
I did make a british power leagues database. Feature all Northern Irish teams in N.Ireland. rep and prize money up a bit for that was the reason the database was made but if you wish it download it. Have a shot if rep or prozemoney to high edit it
Hershie
'power leagues'? I don't quite understand your post.
wardog
I designed A set of Welsh, Irish, N.irish and scottish league so that they could compete with england. It features all teams in all nations, so although its designed to compete it could be modified so that their just playable with the old rep and prize money
Hershie
So a fantasy structure? I'm a big fan of realism, and a bit of a perfectionist.

Elrithral
Can I suggest that you limit your update to Premier League teams, below that and turnover of playing staff is quite high, teams fielded in the lower tiers can differ drastically from month to month.
