Work permit question

So i just wanted to sign Jo from Man City as he has been in the reserves for some time now. Everythignw orks fine but i cant get a work permit for him. Is this right. I mean he is already playing in England and has proven he can be a 1st team player. I dont know how it works in real life exactly but this seems a little strange for me. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Maybe it's to do with his international record? They have to play in 75% of their countries last fixtures, but then again, some players get it without that.

I think the problem you have with Jo is that he has already been issued a work permit in the UK and hasnt met the criteria to renew it. Your trying to sign him on the cheap cause he's in the City reserves. They have left him there cause the have probably signed better players with there new found fortunes.

Therefore they probably wont be able to renew his contract either and he will end up moving to another non-english club at the end of his contract.

I had a similar problem Wirh Amir Zaki.

Played 75 times for Egypt and I couldn't get a work permit for him.

So this is WAD. Thank you, didnt really want him anyway, but as HuwFlet said couldnt resist to get him on the cheap.

If he's in the reserves he isn't playing for Brazil, therefore will have dropped under the 75% recent internationals threshold.

Odd re. Zaki unless he's retired from international football in your save.
