2nd Nationalities

I've just had a couple of french regens obtain english nationality by being here five years "so they can get a taste of international football". Ok now firstly i doubt its that much easier to get in this team than french, but while they are listed as 2nd nationality british, England isnt listed in teams qualified for, is there an additional waiting period to play for them, or will it simply appear when they get selected?

Have the players declared themselves for a nation yet? It would tell you in the personal screen and if they haven't the game will consider them available for France only.

I dont know... it says eligible for is france only, but surely when they took English nationality the intention was obvious?

Not necessarily, perhaps they are going to retire and want to be eligible for benefits Until they declare themseleves eligible for England, they cannot be selected for England.

Ok, just confused me as they said that they didnt think they would get selected for France and wanted to taste international football... so maybe when they get older and definitely won't get in the French team

It can take time, on 08 Berra at Hearts was eligible for Scotland, but it took him 3 seasons to finally give in and let me pick him.

Have they played for the French youth teams already? If they have, I don't think they are allowed to play for England at any level
