FMFanatic8080 Posted June 30, 2008 Share Posted June 30, 2008 I love to manage a team outside of the top 3 leagues which i consider to be Italy, Spain then england. I tried my hands on Lyon but was very disappointed experience, it was quite a good challenge i didnt mind the chairman accepting bids over my head because i thought of that as another challenge but what really got to me was the clubs reputation dropped regardless of me winning the title twice consecutive and going deep in champions league quarters/semis in order, after 2 seasons the club rep went do so much i couldnt attract stars i could at the beginning. Do bundesliga clubs reputation go down too? Why do french clubs rep go down so rapidly even with success? makes no sense Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

entigy Posted June 30, 2008 Share Posted June 30, 2008 My first savegame on FM2008 was with Bayern, and very enjoyable it was too ! I had 5 seasons all told, winning the UEFA Cup and a CL in that time. I created a v.good squad fairly cheaply, and apart from Kaizer Franz selling my right-back against my wishes, the board were very pleased with the clubs progress and finances. Incidentally, I had 6 seasons with Lyon on FM2007 and that was equally enjoyable - we won the CL at least 3 times and had an excellent well-balanced squad.
