Son_Of_William
After a number of my playering living in Scotland for the right amount of time, "British" comes up as a second nationality. However i can't select them for the Scottish National team. Why is that?
jod123
There is an agreement in reality between all the British nations which may be in the game that they would not call up any player who has just gained British nationality from living there like Nacho Novo has in reality. The reason is because there would be nothing stopping any of the British nations from calling them up.
Micado
As jod123 mentioned, it is a gentlemens agreement between all FA's not to call up each other players.

Son_Of_William
Then why is it in the game? Can other nation's do it, just not the British ones?
ftg87
Then why is it in the game? Can other nation's do it, just not the British ones? It would be in the game because it is realistic, seeing as it is what happens IRL and yes, other nations can do this
kristoaster
Then why is it in the game? Can other nation's do it, just not the British ones? It's in the game because it's in real life, just like the transfer window, bosman transfers, etc. And no, it's a special case just in the UK due to the unique nature of the governing system.
