Hammers away to Villa in an FA Cup Quarter Final so most pleased.... Still frustrating though when their penalty goes straight and your keeper runs forward 6 feet looking like a total lemon! Flyman Posted January 17, 2009 Share Posted January 17, 2009 I've always had the impression that during the 90 min, the GK would almost certainly would dive to save the penalty. that's NOT the case (imo) during the shootouts. Of all the matches going to penaltys that I've wistened the only way a player would miss his kick is by shooting off the mark, the GK rarely moves inches, then going trough a hi-score penalty shootout ala 12-11 or even 14-13. They just shoot miles off the post during the shoot-outs (three cases so far, all lost). At least they don't let them be the game's heroes. That'll teach them.
