entroduce
Hey folks... sorry if this is boring, but i was wondering if anyone could help me. I'm planning on getting a new computer as my old one died (whilst playing FM2009, 3 games from the f***ing play-offs. I am absolutely distraught, i was so excited about promotion. Was just about to get Bristol City to Wembley.) I've come up with a few options and I wondered if anyone could spare 2 minutes and have a quick look at my choices, give me some advice, and let me know which would be the best for FM2009. I'd REALLY appreciate your help. I suppose all of them would run FM2009, but some of the graphics details are 'integrated graphics' so i guess thats no good? sorry, i dont much about all this jazz. Many thanks - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/155465 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/150837 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/150835 http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?Quicklinx=5B9P&CategorySelectedId=11101&PageMode=1&NavigationKey=11101#specifications http://www.ebuyer.com/product/155470 (also, could anyone advise on the best place to look for a new PC that would be cheap?) Go to a computer store and have them build you one, thats the chepest option. The ones you have listed are all good but I dont think any of them will have a video card, only a integrated chip which are useless.

AbsoluteGenius
I bought one for £270 custom-built, but I spent another £170 on Windows Vista and a Bluray drive. The game works lightning fast.

Carl_272
You can get some very good PC's built for £200+ these days. I got my PC built a few years back for £400 and it runs FM 2009 great, minus the 3D pitch but that's beacause of the graphics which I couldn't give two ***** about as it's good speed-wise. Frankie 7
If you want to use the 3D graphics in the game, Then just ask at a independant computer shop am sure you will be able to strike a good deal for a cracking system. Remember with the credit crunch, The consumer holds all the cards now.

Remember with the credit crunch, The consumer holds all the cards now. Exactly, systems are not that expensive these days as most places are looking to sell as much stock as possible due to the economic climate, dont be afraid to try and bargain a bit with them as you will find most places will give you items for less than listed price, you just have to ask. Just dont get anything with an internal card, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!
jakobx
The most important thing is the CPU. Buy the fastest quad core CPU that you can afford and then overclock it. The game will still be slow but at least it will approach playable speeds. Changing tactics will still be slow on any CPU for at least 5 years.
