tjb2376
Erm, if you're playing in a tight 4-1-3-2 formation with a flat back four and a 'Makelele'-type player just in front of the back four, how exactly can there possibly be 'a gap between midfield and defence that might be exploited? I don't think so!
Mike7077
Am I right in thinking that that is something your assistant is saying? If so, I would just ignore him. Assistant advice is terrible.
Celtic_1967
It will tell you this if there is more that 3 or 4 points on the mentality slider between centre back and DM.
stokes_83
easy the DM has an attacking mentality and your DC has a defensive mentality. The visual position on the pitch is not necessarily the actual location the player will position himself.

crouchaldinho
It's all about mentality. Mentality has an effect on the positions your players take up on the pitch as well as how attacking and aggressive they are in their style of play. Keep your defence and midfield within 3 notches of each other and the gap will go.
JumbledSausage
Really? I would've thought that the Defensive Line slider might have been the problem here? - That is probably why I've been having some problems with the tactics on this game eh?!! Glenn Wakeford
This has been mentioned a fair few times and there are some good ways to counter this in the Tactics & Training Forum.
