Restarting

Just wanted to make sure that if I restarted my game from again - I'm still only in pre-season - would the attributes still remain the same? or do they get randomised to an extent?

I am just learning new stuff as I go and want to make sure I am completely ready before I start the game for real.

Depends... if you're talking about players, if their attribute is set to "0" pre-game then it will change each time you load. Generally, attributes tend to stay roughly the same, though usually not identical.

Most starting attributes will be the about the same but many younger players in the game have Potential Ability ranges, which mean that when the game starts there potential can be anywhere in a certain 30 point range.

For example, a young player may have a PA of -9. From memory this means that in any new game they can start with a PA of 160-180. This is to keep some variation from game to game and make sure that not all of the same players become world stars every time.

Senior Squad players over 21 won't change much... a few stats here and there will change, but their core stats will likely remain the same (assuming you're a fairly well known club, not sure about teams below Championship level).

Ok, I may just crack on and work through the season. I was just been a little too control freak. I suppose a real manager won't be able to go back in time, and I am trying to do it using as much realism as possible.

Is the OP talking about completely restarting, or saving then restarting? Once you start up a game and save it the players PA/CA should be set.

I assumed he was talking about restarting the entire game... if he's talking about loading from a pre-saved game then yeah, all stats will remain as they were.
