Vin Posted January 5, 2009 Share Posted January 5, 2009 Hi guys, Bit of a strange question here, i have a decent desktop but a reasonably rubbish laptop. It was good enough to play FM08 but i kinda want to make use of the desktop's speed. Is there any way of using the desktop as a 'server', which i can connect into? It would be like a network game, only with a single player. I've tried it out but can't seem to make any progress. Answers on a postcard please!! It might be possible, the main issue being what the "manager" on the desktop does because there has to be one to press continue, otherwise it won't let you go on. Vin Posted January 6, 2009 Author Share Posted January 6, 2009 I have wireless at home, the problem was that if i used 'force continue' it only worked if the client was waiting. After i got successfully connected with the laptop, i retired the manager on the desktop leaving me with just the client manager active. This still leaves me having to click continue for the 'retired' manager, implementing force continue seems to have no effect.
