redcurrant
Why does every single Spanish youngster I sign with Barca say this? At least 30-40 youngsters have said this after signing for me...annoying as hell.
Les Girondins
Hehe. I thought this was pr0n spam .. XX's in thread titles usually denote a bot infiltration or someone sending you an email you didn't need or want. Maybe Xavi has the highest rep. at the club among the Spanish players? Its odd that players from radically different positions would idolise the same guy tho. Are they different? Not all midfielders?
redcurrant
Yep all from different positions. EVERY SINGLE Spanish youngster I've signed says this.
slipknot67
Well if I was a football player and got signed by Barca I'd be pretty homoured to be at the same club as a legend like Xavi. I guess like Les G said it's probs down to the fact that he's a world class player.
redcurrant
True, but every single youngster has to say the same thing? Besides, he's not the only world class player I have. No one talks about wanting to play on the same side as Iniesta, Aguero, Messi etc.
AIniesta
Well, Xavi was player of tournament at Euro 2008, CL Winner, 2-time La Liga winner, Messi...well he was on the CL winning side, as was Iniesta, Aguero hasn't won anything, Messi won the U-20 World Cup so, not really a breathtaking accomplishment. bored101
well he is one of the best players in the world so i guess you would be excited if your young and get to play alongside a spanish idol who is one of the best in the world.
Les Girondins
Granted it could be a little more varied at a big club with more than one world class player .. But its not unrealistic that young players would want to sign for Manchester United to train with Ronaldo .. or Milan to train with Maldini. Especially if they are Portugese or Italian respectively. redcurrant
I don't mind if a few of them says that, but when 30 to 40 of them says the same thing, it would be annoying and unrealistic imo.
