I'm on £500 pw which is less than I get IRL. :( I'd better get promoted soon and get a pay rise - who plays a game where you're worse off than in real life?

erm, i know it sounds good to be paid a rediculous amount of mo ney but doesn't it come out of your wage bill? meaning if you have a very small wage, trhen you can spend the rest on bringing new players in? i always try and get the least i can. maybe i'm wrong but thats what i've always thought lol

Well, you're correct, but the advantage to asking for more money and a longer contract, is that it becomes more expensive to sack you so the club is less likely to fire you straight away if you start performing badly.

£2500 p/w at FC United, although I deserve a bit more than that. The board were having none of it when negotiating a new contract so I had to settle for a tiny increase.

In Total Club Manager you had the option to give money to the club.
Why not introduce the same feature in FM? Think about it.
What are you going to buy anyway? The whole salary feature is worthless now.

in other manager games you can do other stuff like buy houses, cars and pets etc

could be an interesting feature to add

Other games like The Sims. Not Football Manager, I wouldn't buy it again if they added that.

Thankfully they never will.

I'm currently earning £200 per week at Caersws, but my contract is running out within the next month. The board are offering me a 2 year contract on £250 per week, but after 4 seasons I'm more inclined to move elsewhere. While I have progressed with the club (last season's finish of 6th was the best yet) I feel it is time to progress.

£115,000 p/w until 2017 at man city. i've never been able to get a five yr contract before but they agreed to it. i always choose the lowest available wage because i don't care about it and i'd rather it stayed in the clubs finances tbh
