matthewgoodfield
Hi I want to set my full backs to forward runs . But are forward runs mean they will make runs off the ball or with the ball ?? Thanks
ftg87
When your team have the ball and are moving up the pitch then your full backs will make the forward runs to aid in the attack
Kickballz
Both are options. There is a separate slider next to the forward runs to make players run with the ball, but it is probably a bad idea to tell defenders to run with the ball often so leave that one on mixed for your full backs. matthewgoodfield
So Apart from getting hit on the counter attack Can Setting forward runs , have a negative effect on your team defensivesly
Kickballz
Defensively you'll be more solid if they stay back but it just depends on how cavalier you want to be. If you have good attacking full backs then I'd want them getting forward but if my opponent switched to a 4-2-4 then I'll tell my full backs to stay back to avoid getting murdered by their wingers. Ryknow
I find my fullbacks push up too much with "Forward Runs" set to often. "Run with Ball" and "Cross Ball" set to often works alot better for me, and "Forward Runs" at Mixed, then at Often against weak opposition.
phnompenhandy
'Forward runs' means when you're in possession those players will bomb up the pitch. If you lost possession and the oppo launch a counter-attack your full-backs will be fatally out of position. You'll need fast DCs and maybe a mobile DMC to cover the gaps. Aha, i found something that you are forgetting, that is the fact that ALL wingers appear world class regardless of the quality of your fulbacks
Mihk3l
I have actually found it better having FB-s with mixed forward runs/team mentality but run with ball often and crossing from byline, they still offer plenty of offensive threat and aren't that vurnable to counterattack, my rightback has the best average rating in team for 4 years straight now lol
