Mar$haLL
I asked my Midfielder to blast free-kicks in and he has never even hit the target once! His freekick taking is 15. Has anyone had good expirance with teaching a new move to a player? And what stats do you think a player should have to round the keeper and score? phnompenhandy
If you tell him to blast free kicks it just means he hits them harder - not more accurately. In fact, they are likely to be less accurate! Rounding the keeper would require acceleration, balance, composure and finishing, off the top of my head (that's not an attribute by the way). CaptainPlanet
Just to clear up, PPMs are NOT new skills they just influence the choices that players make within their own ability. Telling a player to blast freekicks just means he's going to choose power over precision, meaning that it's less likely to be on target, but if it is on target it's more likely to beat the keeper. Having said that, I've seen very few direct freekicks go in since the 9.2 patch, but they may be just me. Teaching a player to "round the keeper" seems to work well with the current match engine because of the amount of 1 on 1s, but again it's within the players own ability, it's making him choose to round the keeper more often than he'll choose to lob/blast/place a shot even if rounding the keeper isn't the best option available. TommyBhoy
how do you ask them to do these things? i would love scott mcdonald to stop hitting the keeper in a one on one and taking his fat arse round the goalkeeper and putting the ball in the bag! Sussex Hammer
Craig Bellamy hits his shots straight at the keeper every time he shoots for mr. I ask him to try and round the keeper but he thinks it's not in his best interest to learn a new skill!! What do you do!!!!
CaptainPlanet
Older players and players that you have very little influence with are less likely to want to learn a new PPM.
phnompenhandy
Tommy - player interaction menu, same screen as asking for tutor. Should be a list there so long as the player is eligible to learn a PPM
