Network Play

Please can anyone help me?

I read the instruction manual and setting up a network game looks like childs play, yet I set up a new game, and tick the 'run as server' box, yet my mate types in the IP address, only to get an unable to connect to server message, which also boots you out of the game and then you have to restart your computer, as when you try to reload FM2009 it says a version is already runninng.

I must be doing something wrong?

Do we have to be running the same version (update)?

Any help will be massively appreciated!
