Ozzy38
In the tactics part you can set kick takers, how to deliver corners, free kicks and so on, and you can set these separately for the left side and right side. But which one is considered the 'left' side?? Is it the left of the opposition goal or the left when the attacking team's facing the opposition goal? This has bugged me for years but I never thought to ask on here... Diagrams for both sides of the pitch: o - ? ('left' or 'right'?) ¦ ¦ ] - goal ¦ ¦ o = ? o - ? ¦ ¦ [ - goal mouth ¦ ¦ o = ? ftg87
It is from the attacking sides POV, so on your bottom diagram, a left corner would come from the bottom "o" (Really hope I read the diagram right:confused:)
iamjerome
erm i'd presume left would be left-opposition goal-right you know. the way you play your left back on the LEFT side, etc.
John Swarbrick
When the attacking team is facing the opposition goal, left is left and right is right. ---------------------Goal--------------------- -----------------Penalty spot----------------- ---------------Edge of 18 yard box------------ --------Left-----------------------Right-------
SCIAG
I'm pretty sure those two are correct.
Wee Aja
The left is on the left, and the right is on the right iirc Only joking. The right corner is the one facing your teams right hand side, and the left is on your teams left hand side (that you face). A left-footer will take an in-swinging corner from the right and an out-swinging from the left, and vice-versa.
smithers08
I always presumed that Left was the side of the left winger and right was the side of the right winger. E.g. I like my corners to be inswinging so I put my right winger to take my corners on the left and my left winger to take corners from the right , same with freekicks (athough I do think you should get the option of choosing different FK takers for different positions e.g. near box , near corner flag etc)
