BlackTiger
change the mentality of either your midfielders (increase it) or your attackers (decrease it). best way is to choose to keep midfield and attack on "team" mentality.
anagain
You need to set the mentality of each player to reasonably similar levels, ideally a maximum of 2 intervals between each. For example I tend to set the following: Keeper: 6 Central Defenders: 7/8 Fullbacks: 8/9 Defensive Mid: 8 Midfielders/wingers: 9-12, staggered Forwards: 11/12-13 If you set your midfield to 9, to be defensive, and your strikers are set as 15, or so, then the gap is 6 and too much. I'm no true tactical expert, though, so I'd suggest a trip to the tactics forums and a read of the guides over there. That's where I got my basic setup from. I had been struggling with mentality when I first started FM09 and a read of the guides really helped me. Have a read of this thread and this is the guide that I read. It is seriously good, and extremely helpful. I'd actually recommend it first to be honest.
