trained in country

Recommended Posts

now dont laugh at me because i think this is a fair question!

but should a player who was trained and played their whole career in scotland, who then moves to an english club, be classed as home grown in england?

because i thought that scotland/england/wales would all be classed as home grown in the UK. yet in FM thats not the case and my scottish player isn't home grown.

so anyone witha definitive answer then? :)

But by the same token you dont get an english passport but a british one. Plus its a UK flag that shows in game not the individual countries.

But both good points!

my thoughts exactly. i dont know what it is in real life though. but considering it took SI quite a few years to get over the fact that a player doesn't gain 'english' nationality but 'british' nationality i thought that this may be considered an issue in the same light. but if its not the case in real life then thats fine!
