joe_sufc
I got FM09 for Christmas, installed it successfully on my laptop but when I play it, it freezes when I try to start a match (when I click on submit team). I've tried 6/7 times and only once have I managed to play the match. My laptop is a fairly new model, only 3 months old and I've checked the system requirements and it seems to meet them. I have no idea why it's doing it.
ahmufcwafc
Have you tried playing in windowed mode & have you installed the latest patch?
joe_sufc
I don't know what either of those things mean.

joe_sufc
Thanks. Which patch do I choose out of that list? (bittorrent etc)
ahmufcwafc
Chose the direct download option, unless you're good with torrent software. It doesn't really matter.

KUBI
Your graphic card can't handle the 3-D match engine. Go to preferences and change to 2-D view.
bdgr
I'm having the same problem, but i can play the pre season friendlies with the 3d engine, it's the first game of the season that always freezes up on me - no idea why this is, it worked fine before (had the game since launch). The only thing thats changed is that I'm on a new game with the new patch.
Matt ex SEGA
Update graphics card drivers and direct x as the main methods for reducing freezes or crashes...
joe_sufc
Putting it in windowed mode solved the problem, so my graphics card obviously can handle the 3D matches. Out of interest, why does putting it in windowed mode fix it?
