what is the most players you have bought pre season?

Just finished my first season with a nice promotion from league two and strengthened my Bury team with 16 players for the League One campaign.

surely thats abit too much but if your team is dross, needs must! Just wondered how others go about strengthening after promotion.....

31, but not after promotion ;P I had to strenghen my team before promotion battle (instead of avoiding relegation battle they predicted for me). Most of them were 16-19 years old players (about 20) and the rest really helped me with battle for promotion (4th at the moment).

13 preseason prior to Season 2, mostly players from the Trial Day released by Prem/Championship teams.

Ehr, as most it was a low-division-game in FM08... 72 new players, most U19... Wanted some competition about the first-squad-places, but got caught in the stream and signed way more than I intended xD

I just get in 4-6 players after promotion.

Reason being,I make sure the teams prepared for a survival bid,before getting promoted.But,its luck and sometimes,I have gotten promoted,still I dont get in many players
