Best opening day result?

What is your best opening day result?

In my first season I finished 7th in league 2, and went up in the playoffs. I then got relegated on the last day of the season by goal difference. I then got promoted again by finishing second in league 2.

I was quite surprised to get this result on the opening day of the season considering I am tipped for relegation. Birmingham finished 5th in the Championship the season before.

I have played two further games. I lost 3-2 against Portsmouth, and I beat Cardiff 2-1. A decent start, I would say.

4-1 against Arsenal. Loved it. I was playing as Newcastle at the time.

Best result i have got is a 1-0 victory over FC Bayern as newly promoted Hansa Rostock.

In FM08 I took over Melbourne Knights who were second bottom and won 6-0 in my first game against the second placed side. That was pretty impressive.

Not really opening day, but when I took control over Legia Warsaw after they fired their manager and my first game was against Celtic in Scotland (2nd qual. round of CL, 2nd leg), they lost first game 2:1 at home and I was pretty sure I will get crashed After match I was impressed, we won 5:0 after funny and stupid defenders mistakes It was FM 08

mine is as Man City, beat Arsenal 3-0 at Emirates in one save with 1st patch. Started new save with new patch and drew 1-1 at Old Trafford! Was realy happy with both!
