I have been trying to sign him to a new deal but it is now evident that he will not re-sign with me. It is early November and his contract is up in June. I have transfer listed him but only have interest from AC Milan, Lyon, and Inter, who I assume are all lining up for a free bid in January. I am actually not even that worried about losing him as I have quality on the bench to replace him. My questions are: 1) is it just a bonehead move on my part to let it go this long and now perhaps even lose him on a free? 2) Is there any way I can try and sell him before Jan 1st to get something for him and prevent a free? How interested would teams be in an early transfer for him? I offered at 20 million and got zero responses.... Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
