So does that mean we can not rely on a young striker getting you 30-40 goals a season

If the player has the ability and the ratings then I dont see why he cannot score loads of goals, age may play a small part in his consistency but I dont see it being a major problem if he has the ability. The only way to increase consistency is too play him more and more.

Not really, ive got strikers who have scored over 30 goals for the past 3 seasons so its not ridiculous, too expect a new youngster too come in a hit the back of the net 40 times is bit ridiculous, but never say never.

I'm in February 2009, playing a 4-5-1 attacking, and my (admittedly 28-year-old) striker already has over 30 goals in League Two. It's possible with the right combination.

Yeah its always possible, look at Fowler and Owen who were young and scored loads of goals. In FM world Lauria Dalle Valle (sp) has just hit good at 21 but thats cause he wasnt given a chance till then. A few players will hit 30 @ 18 but this isnt the place for them. If a 18 year old hit 20 id be happy ( if any player other than super striker hit 20 id be happy).

My regen striker bagged 30 last season, so I don't see a problem at this stage tbh.
