In real life, the FA asked top quality and long serving managers in the Premiership (Wenger, Ferguson) to say who they would pick as the next England manager. How great would that be if you could do this on FM, the FA come to you with a list of candidates and you may have some influence over their decision!

Also, when Wenger or Ferguson decide to leave their respective clubs, they will undoubtedly help pick the new manager. Perhaps when you have served long enough at the club under the same chairman, they may ask you who should be the next manager should you decide to leave.

Would be a realistic inclusion and also serves as some kind of reward for your time at a certain club/league

Would be a very nice touch, think I mentioned it in one of the recommendation threads last year. Presumably wouldn't be too hard to implement and would show a manager's stature within the game.

Also, you get news in your inbox if another manager picks you

Some good thoughts and Id like to see something along these lines. But its a fine line of how sucessful you have to be?

Maybe oce you enter the hall of fame(thats still in the new games isn't it?) for your nation? Also thought when you become world class but that seems less reliable. After all you might have, and I emphaise might, have judged Juande Ramos "world class," but I doubt he had much say in his sucessors appiontment.
