Veloso is fashionable on these boards because he's a good player but also young and slightly obscure.

There are 3 far better free-kick takers in the game who also happen to be far more accomplished in real life - van der Vaart, Ronaldinho and Riquelme.

These 3 are absolute free-kick gods in Football Manager.

Granted, they are fantastic free kick players! I wasnt going to name players but im playing as wolves, so i think your last 3 players maybe out of my reach, Veloso too i think although ive never tried! The player i have is Mascio, he has 19 attruibute for his free kick and set piece taking, only 17 in my game and signed for 60,000 quid i think!

He doesn't exist in real life - he was slipped in by a naughty researcher. He starts at a small Italian club called Cisco - 'Cisco Lazio' IIRC. You might not have him is your database is too small.

Cisco Roma, and you have to load all players from Italy. I heard about him from a previous thread and wondered what the fuss was about so loaded the league to get him. He has now played 10 games, 1 goal but i can see him getting better already.

If I get a freekick right on the edge of the area it's usually a guaranteed goal. In 08 I had Vailatti taking my free kicks and he was immense. He scored a Beckham v Liverpool-esque one once, to the right of the box, but opting to bend it into the left side of the goal.
