giantjames
Hi everyone, Was just wondering for those that manage Championship/Lg 1 sides. Do the players that impress your scouts at the England Trial Day right at the start of the season ever turn into anything good because I always sign them but not sure if it is worth it? Thanks
ssestig
Offer a trial after the trial day and look on coach reports. That's what I do.
james-99
ye i scout them, but they are just a waste of time, they are rubbish and i recommend only to sign them if you have pretty much no squad or a major injury crisis

NepentheZ
Trial days have been a waste of my time. 8 seasons in, and I've never signed a player from them. Not because I didn't want to, but they all reject my contracts. I'm in League 1, not the greatest, but I'm losing out to other league 1 sides, and sometimes league 2 sides
David1uk
Just seen the England Trial Days on the demo will they be in fm10? have afew questions on this also as anyone found a premiership player from the trials and how many trails days are there a season sorry didnt play fm09 due to crap comp
ssestig
I've not found a premiership potential player but found some that have played for the bigger PL clubs. There is just the one per season which is mid-July for the English leagues.
Moaner
I haven't seen any real talent come out of an England Trial game.
ssestig
Depends on the level you are managing at Moaner. It is very helpful for the lower league challenges you find in the CSE forum where you can find players that should be playing 1/2 divisions higher than your club. I start unemployed so I have attended the trial days at every level (up to L1 at the minute) and so far I've seen possibly two or three players worth looking at after scouting. One in particular did get signed by Rushden & Diamonds but they are now a couple of leagues below me.
matt_forest
If you are at a team in the premier league then scouting the trial day would be a waste of time. For Championship and below its worth a look. In my latest game I've signed several very good players from the English, Northern Irish and Swedish trial days. After scouting one I signed two forwards who went on to score a combined 45 goals for me in one season
Vane
In Scottish league 1, I scout the Scotland and England trial days. I find those that shine in the trial game are often good players to sign.
