jod123
Only by reinstalling the game and then don't apply the patch.
simon07
Uninstalling doesn't delete a saved game does it?
anthonyoxx
ahh really hmm if i copied my career game to somewhere else then unistalled and reinstalled the game again would my career game still be alright to play?
jod123
Uninstalling will not affect any saved games, but if you have saved the game at all since you applied the latest patch then it can only be played again with that patch installed.
simon07
Arr right I see... I don't think I have but I can't be arsed to uninstall and reinstall! All I wanted to do was change some kit colours! I think I can wait!

dafuge
By 'scout programs' do you mean an unofficial utility? If that is the case you'll either need to wait until the utility is updated to work with the patch, stop using the utility, or do a clean reinstall and revert back to the previous patch. anthonyoxx
yeh like fmrte and things like that but yeh ill wait till they update or get them to work with the new patch cant be bothered with the hassle of unistalling lol

jod123
There is an option in Steam to turn off automatic updates. (I don't know where as I don't have it.) Alternatively, don't have Steam running.
anthonyoxx
yeh but i mean i have to install steam to install the game dont i?
jod123
How did you buy the game? From steam?
anthonyoxx
nope i brought it from a shop but u have to activate it through steam right?
jod123
No, you can activate it through uniloc (another method online which I used) or over the phone. There are 3 options, steam is just one.
anthonyoxx
yeh but i used steam to activate it in the first place but like when i try to install it again it gives me the choices of steam or that uniloc thing and if i choose steam then when i click launch game it automatically updates to the new patch whereas if i click 'dont automatically update' it wont let me play the game? should i just try using uniloc? or wont i be able to cos ive already activated it with steam? jod123
Could you elaborate when you say it won't let you play the game? Do you get an error message? And when does this occur? When you are loading your save? Yeah I am sure you can still activate through uniloc if you want.
