Not sure, but I was playing a little this morning with the first patch and the first thing i noticed after I installed the second one was the stuttering. If you are playing windowed, try clicking the task bar but not on a program (so Football Manager is not focussed on) and that made it really smooth for me, atleast for 3D. It looks like they have reduced the number of threads as CPU usage never tops 60% in general processing and ocassionally peaks around 80%. Much better. UI lag has also been banished as a consequence.
