FC and ST

Could someone please inform me of any differences between these 2 positions and where they should be positioned in a 2-up-front tactic. i.e 4-4-2 3-5-2 etc.

I personally play the ST on the left and FC on the right as they seem to perform better. However occasionally my assman suggests that an FC should be on the left.

Does it make a difference? Is it down to individual players??

I've been told an FC has a high 'free role' rating.

FC has a free role rating of at least 15, and can play 'in the hole', linking midfield and the attack

i dont think it matters about left and right but is more dependant on your specific player instructions.

I used to do that but it seems to make no difference with me. I think i'll keep to my current policy as I have just won the league 5 mins ago:D

FC = dennis bergkamp, gianfranco zola. ST = Michael Owen etc

Unless your strikers do a lot of crossing, it's usually better to have the better left footed player on the right and vice versa (think about how shots usually curl).

If your FC and ST are both purely right footed, put your FC on the right as he will be passing and crossing more, and your ST will be shooting more.
