StevenMcD
Maybe I'm missing something, I only use holiday when in between jobs. Now I'm new to the forums but I'm reading of people Holiday-ing through full seasons?! Why in the world would you want to do that?
GillsMan
Different people have different preferences I suppose.
Glenn Wakeford
It's also useful if you're an international manager only, as the gaps between games can be quite large.
StevenMcD
if you're an international only manager I can understand, but why if you manage a club do people holiday through an entire season? Surely you can't win a season like that?! and even if you do, where's the sense of acomplishment in that?
stevio11
Because in some of the challenges, you have to pick a team who were unplayable from the start or people are trying to get a certain team to play like FC UTD OF MANCHESTER. Look at defage's challenge and you will understand more.(It's in the challenge's forum).
StevenMcD
I'll do that, thanks! Didn't even know about the challenges forum, that should put an interesting spin on the game
Nomis07
I make all my potential transfer movements on day 1 of the season, then I holiday to the first league game. I also oliday the winter break in Germany, it's a month and a half long.
StevenMcD
I track as many of the off-season competitions as possible e.g. World Cup, EURO etc with all my scouts attending and find young players to sign, the off-season is so exciting! Why holiday through it?! I realise this is obviously a personal decision but I still don't see why holiday through an entire season is done. But to each his own I suppose

tansrb
i've went on holiday for 20 years before in fm 07 just to see how the future looks for us..... and we got some really interesting results. pity my comp spoiled and i lost the screenshot
CrashOverride
If I was managing international only then I might consider it, or taking Dafuge (sp)'s challange Id consider it! Intertaional only is boring as you have nothing to do for weeks and I've not taken on Dafuge's challenge yet!! However in my career game I started in BSN and am now managing a Championship team inside 2 seasons so im pretty happy!

CaptainPlanet
Assistant managers sometimes win games more than you do, so holidaying through can sometimes help.

ThE BoMBeR
Assistant managers sometimes win games more than you do, so holidaying through can sometimes help. Yes this one I don't understand.. I experimented a bit on FM 08... I holidayed from august till christmas and results the ass man got were unbelievable... 6-0, 5-0, 6-1, etc... Then I do the same games and play the same players and same formation and I barely win 1-0 or 2-1... just with 1 goal difference and sometimes 2... Can someone explain why the huge gap pls? Ahem, while you had the same players its probably very difficult to recreate allthe player instructions and other tweaks you wont have seen on the tactics!! ThE BoMBeR
I'm sure it wasn't the tactics... First of all... I said FM 08 not FM 09... secondly I used Kimz tactic for 8.0.2 and I instructed my assman to use the same tactic... so there you go...
