tigerhgrrrrrr Posted December 15, 2008 Share Posted December 15, 2008 When looking to sign players on expiring contracts as a manager in English L1 I cannot offer a contract direct to the player, I dont have the option, but other teams (from abroad, including Scotland?) seem to be able to. Presuming this is not a bug but a quirk of the English League transfer rulings? Have to say though, I thought English clubs could approach with pre contracts 6 months before contract expiry (eventually I had the option 1 month from that date). I read somewhere its changed IRL and therefore has changed in game!! Bit annoying as forigen clubs can approach players and the reminder still comes up at 6 months!
