I have a player on my team who isn't mine

I am blyth and i have a player whos contract ran out and I didn't want to renew and when it ran out he stayed on my team and I can still play him. I know about the rolling contract thing but he has no contract with me, it says he is clubless and i can't release him.

so it looks like I have a player who i don't pay wages to.

Just go to the screen you want to show.

Press Alt+F9

Then go to photobucket or imageshack and upload the pic there. It can be found in My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\screenshots.

Then just post the link here.

It looks like a bug, as he is still in your team yet you can only sign him and not release him. Post it in the bugs forum.

To find a workaround for you, try offering him a 1 week trial or something and see if he leaves after that.

'Tis a bug. There ought to be a 'release player' option in the lower menu if he is in your squad. The game both thinks he isn't your player - and he is.

Do you have a save game before his contract ran out and he stayed at your club? If so, could you post in the bugs forum and upload the save to our FTP? Thanks.
