baker.simon
Just in the process of restructuring my Leeds team, Birmingham were intrested in one of my players and made a bid, with a 20% of profit from next sale clause. This got me wondering whether i could use this in future? I mean, if i was to try and buy this player back would i effectively have a 20% discount? I realise this is just a sort of buy back price but do you think its viable?
santy001
It does work like that, but you'd only get a 20% discount of everything you paid more than what you sold him for. So eg you sell him for 1m and buy him back for 2m you'd only get a 200k reduction/payment back because you get 20% of the other teams profit on him. Percentage of next sale is better, but is likely to put the other team off.
lawsie
yes i made a thread about a bid i had for a player 60m and a 20% profit of next sale. I rejected it because the % of profit will be non existent as they would be very unlikely to sell for more than 60m. I negotiated for 20% of next sale but they withdrew. Oh well sucks to be them.
