Role after retiring

I was always wondering whether there were any special qualities I should look for in players that are about to retire in relation to recommending a scouting, coaching or managerial role i.e what makes for a good scout and also is there anyway of telling whether a player will make a good coach, manager or scout e.g PA before they have retired.

Im not sure but alex ferguson said gary neville would be good when he retries i guess his words are as good as arn't they? but no i don't no anyother way of finding out mate good luck!.
