How is your regen count are there too many?

These are my first choice fullbacks both were pretty expensive but they are top class, Sean Beckett will be my captain next season for sure after his performances this season he deserves it.

These are my fist choice CB pairing and have gelled together really well but then again after paying £50 million for Kavcic I expect them to keep the goals out lol.

Best 2 wingers I have especially Paradinas now that Stewart Downing at 31 is getting on a bit he will be able to play on the left for years to come and looks a decent player.

Claudio is a bit hit and miss but is great for merchandising with him being Japanese, according to the news messages anyway. Like I said he blows hot and cold and has been in and out of the team. Richard Martins is a decent player and is just coming back from a 3 month lay off can bang them in with his head or feet and is great upfront with Claudio or the other young regen strikers I have.

In my whole squad I have 8 real players left Craig Gordon, Vermaelen, Miguel Torres, Aquino, Wilshere, Defour, Stewart Downing and Rodney Sneijder. I find this a bit strange as I am only in the 6th season yet have a very good side without real players in it, of the 8 only Wilshere, Gordon and Defour play alot of games the others are for cover.

This is not a bragging thread as I am sure people have alot better regens, I had just posted them in the Sunderland thread so thought I might aswell stick it here when asking what is your regen count to real player? Do you think there are too many or just enough? Do you think its better than FM08 in regen quality? I appreciate not many people will view all the screenies I just want to know people opinions on the regens of FM09.

I wasnt sure if I should post this here or in the good players forum but I decided here in the hope to get a general chat about regens and the percentage of them in peoples games a few years in.

Good squad you seem to have there, I'm looking forward to getting that far into the game myself, although that'll probably be a good few months down the line for me

Japanese player called Claudio? How did that happen? A Brazilian born player taking up residency sort of thing? (would have thought that unlikely with him only being 22)

Claudio was born in Brazil but maybe one of his parents was Japanese as he had that as a 2nd nationality and decided to player for them. Sean Beckett is my favourite regen so far great RB and future captain.

I don't really know but it seems from what people have said is that maybe theres a few too many good ones. I mean if you have those players there must be about 50 more like that! Are there that many good players in the world ever at 1 time?

In 2018 there are 8 regens in my Villa squad,well,it's 2018

Forgot to post one he is my MCd or DM if I need one and is fantastic, I only forgot because theres like 12 pics on my desktop lol. There are loads of decent regens at other clubs but not the volume that I have, the AI seems to keep mostly real players.

I guess you mst have loaded some iran and japanese and other bespoke leagues? OR players from those countries!

Only things that are loaded are England, Spain and Italy. All players from Brazil and Argentina.

i do have alot or regens, i can't say it is really a bad thing because their quality has definatley imporved greatly since 08

Lots of Japanese people emigrated to Brazil. Loads live in Sao Paolo.

So it's not at all uncommon.

Sometimes when I have a great regen, I wish he was born in real life so that I could compare his game character to his RL character. Wow I am sad aren't I?

As a scotsman I emotionally torn as I'm the manager of Man U and I am improving the England national team bringing through some good English regens.

I find myself scouring for Scots to bring through just to make me feel better!

i am only in 2012. all my fullbacks are regens, both of my centre midfield are regens, and i have a world class regen keeper at 22 years old. I think its a tad OTT

Got to admit its a shock to me coming from the sparse regen world of FM 08 where I was into the year 2060 I think, to this in FM 09 where I am coming up to the 2016 season, and there are outstanding, genuine quality regens everywhere !!

Im really enjoying it though, my scout network is expansive enough to have covered the Brazilian and Italian youth developments, and I plan on building for the future with youngsters and a top youth academy, hopefully with potential future internationals coming through my own system !

I have to say I am really enjoying the regen system this year. On 08 I was put off long term games because of the poor standard of regen. But now I have to say Im really enjoying my career game (before the PC went tits up). The regens were awsome and my whole team except for Asenjo were regens

my views 08 vs 09...

I think in FM 08, there where too many regens who ended up on the same level.. if you had played for some seasons, there suddenly was a million players which was quite good.. but i think i never saw someone actually became the new Ronaldo, Messi, or whatever..

I missed some Wonderkid regens in 08.. maybe this was only the case in my games :-p but anyway...

now it seems like theres perhaps too many good regens.. but maybe not.. i'm guessing that around the world, theres plenty of youngster with much talent, but ofcourse not all of them are gonna suceed...

so in one way, their CA should perhaps be a bit lower...

but i'm very satisfied that you'll get more of those wonderkids in 09.

I think the issue is that the stats are too good....mainly due to the fact that the players aren't two footed enough. I always found plenty of really talented regens in fm08, but their stats were mostly kack......quite the opposite in fm09 !

Looking at my scouting I could sign an entire team of regens that are as good or better than my main squad, I am Newcastle and in the second season!
